SOAA Sculpture Presentation

Join the South Oakland Art Association (SOAA) and artist Laith Karmo for a Sculpture presentation at the February 3, 2014 meeting at 7 pm. Laith Karmo attended the College for Creative Studies, Detroit, receiving his BFA in 2004 and Cranbrook Academy of Art, Bloomfield Hills, MI earning his MFA in 2006. Since then his work has been exhibited in Detroit and New York, including the recent feature of his expansive installation, Cultivating Civility, at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit. In 2011, he was awarded a Kresge Artist Fellowship. He lives and works in metro-Detroit.
Laith Karmo Sculpture Picture
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 814 N. Campbell Road, Royal Oak, MI 48067.
(Campbell Road is ½ mile west of I-75 and the church is between 11 and 12 Mile Roads).  Free lighted-parking is on the north side of the church, as is the entrance to the meeting. The meeting is downstairs.

The meeting starts at 7:00 pm and usually concludes by 9:00 pm. All artists and art lovers are invited to this free event. Refreshments will be served.
