SOAA Speaker Program

The South Oakland Art Association is delighted to have Valerie Allen of Golden Artist Colors at their November 3rd meeting. Valerie will demonstrate the various acrylic paints, mediums and techniques possible with Golden Artist Colors’ Products.

Valerie Allen is a professional artist residing in Michigan. She and her husband, artist Armin Mersmann, live and work in their studio/home near Midland Center for the Arts and Dow Gardens. She is on the faculty of the Alden B. Dow Museum of Science and Art and has taught art at several Midwest colleges including Delta College at University Center, Michigan and Northwood University in Midland, Michigan.

This demo and presentation will be at South Oakland Art Association’s November 3, 2014 meeting at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 814 N. Campbell, between 11 and 12 Mile Road in Royal Oak.  The presentation is preceded by a short business meeting at 7 pm.  The presentation is free, the public is welcome. Refreshments will be served.
